1. Introduction: Big bang and the ‘OM’ sound.
The very beginning of soundscape starts from the combined emulation of the concepts of Big Bang and Hindu Vedic theories. As a creative process itself we give more emphasis to the creative realm of soundscape rather than simply emulating a scientific theory. The piece starts with an aggressive impact that eventually evolves into the “OM” sound that gave us the impression of the creation of universe.
Sound material:
– “OM”
– Impact
– Ambience sound
– Glitch sounds
2. Cosmic evolution.
In this phase, we are expressing the evolution of universe from the first particle till the moment of Earth’s appearence. It involves the expansion of universe and the creation of hydrogen, stars, planets, etc. We are using a combination of audio samples and VST synthesizers to recreate our desired soundscape.
Sound material:
– Ambience sound
– Glitch sounds
– Sweep sounds
– Bubble sounds
3. Evolution of earth.
The final phase of our piece is about the evolution of earth and the life itself. It started by depicting the molten state of earth. Then, it moved to a gradual formation of O2 and H20 that resulted in a heavy rain. This rain evolved into the formation of oceans. After the creation of atmosphere and oceans, Earth became a calm and silent place; from this point, we gradually introduced some nature and animals sounds to gave the impression of the living creatures evolution. We are also focusing on using harmonic sounds along with these to indicate the lively feel of life.
Sound material:
– Ambience/atmospheric sound
– Rain
– Thunders and storms
– Ocean
– Ocean Creatures
– Animals such as birds, monkeys or ocean creatures
– Lava
– Wind
